Tue May 29, 2018, Toronto, ON

Are you a Corporate Social Responsibility professional looking to enhance your impact in your organization? Or are you interested in being an organizational sustainability champion who creates meaningful change, regardless of your role or level in the company?

Bob Willard is an author, speaker, and expert on sustainability, leadership, culture change, and organizational development. His sustainability resources have helped hundreds of professionals to influence positive and impactful change within their organizations.

In this workshop, Bob will distill lessons from his book The Sustainability Champion’s Guidebook about practices of effective change leaders, and provide practical guidance on how to convince others to want to make the change that you propose, even if you have limited position influence.

Bob will outline a seven-step sustainability change process, including how to frame the business case justification for the change; seven leadership practices to use throughout the change process; seven paradoxes that enable successful change strategies; and seven derailers to avoid. This workshop will teach sustainability champions at any level in a company how to lead a transformation to a smarter and more sustainable enterprise that will thrive in the new economy.

Who should attend: this workshop is perfect for professionals who are change agents, or would like to be change agents in their organizations, e.g. Sustainability Managers, CSR Consultants, Community Coordinators, or even IT Analysts, Financial Specialists etc., as well as future sustainability champions looking to learn and make new contacts.

Besides learning new tips on creating organizational change, you’ll have the opportunity to network with change agents from other organizations and to share best practices during the interactive breakout sessions.

"Bob Willard has written a stunning compilation of experience-based wisdom: his and that of other leaders who have done real things to work towards organizational change and sustainability in business. The Sustainability Champion's Guidebook is spot on for all levels of an organization, from high-level vision right down to individual, personal behavior."

― Ray Anderson, Founder and Chairman, Interface Inc.

“...this sensible, pragmatic approach is highlighted throughout the book. One of the most compelling chapters in the book is that focused on the “derailers” to avoid.”

—Green Business

"After reading Bob’s book there is an eerie sense that I feel he knows me or, for that matter, any other sustainability manager that is fighting for the cause of introducing sustainability within their business. It is a compelling read for those who are just starting their journey up Mount Sustainability, graphically pointing out the likely encounters that you will experience along the way. And for those like myself who started their journey with just the bare essentials of The Natural Step Framework, this book brings to life all those subliminal thoughts that make you think that Bob was right behind you the whole time."

― Dr. Jason Leadbitter, Sustainability Manager, Ineos ChlorVinyls
